So, late October. I should be writing a paper for my Playwriting class, but I get distracted easily and I like to stay true to myself, so here I am, not doing it.
So Desiray's been juggling job searching with school, crazy ladies with asshole teachers, and now softball with fantasy basketball. Alan's been crashing scooters, having allergic reactions, and procrastinating schoolwork until there's no way he can possibly get it done in time, yet he does. Together we've been working to grow our love, crush our doubts, and level our toon to 70 (or our 4th toon to 70).
Seriously, though, Alan crashed the scooter into the ground, not on purpose. He was going about 40 on a pretty busy road and lost control of the bike while changing lanes and braking too quickly. The scooter pitched onto it's side, didn't slide too much, and kept on running. Alan ejected from the seat (wearing a helmet, shorts, and flip-flops) into the turn lane and rolled/slid about 20 feet. His toenails, knees, and arms took a beating - as did the helmet, which perfectly protected his head as designed. Emergency room Xrays and CT scans reveal no permanent damage (well, no new damage). He has been unable to play any basketball, but has been feeling much more rested thanks to the extra 2 hours of sleep each morning.
Desiray had some trouble with math and foreign math teachers, but with a little help from the math chair and some tutoring, has quickly grasped the theory of numbers and aced her last two tests. She worked a little at the AZ State Fair, toyed around with child care, and is now likely set to start working for P.F. Chang's. Softball season starts in early Nov and her first practice was this past Sunday. She is the 1st basewoman for her team, the Zombies.
Both have enjoyed 8 consecutive Sundays watching every football game on multiple big screens at a local Irish pub. Her Packers are doing considerably better than his Niners, but have much pukier-resembling team colors, so it all balances out. Both are looking past Thanksgiving a little bit towards the return trip to UT to bask in the beautiful love that is Jarren & Stephanie's wedding combined with Xmas and a between-semesters, several weeks long vacation.
Sorry no pictures, but I typed this at school and have no access to anything good. Besides, I should get back to work on that paper. Class starts in one hour. Peace!
